Project 25 | An update! St. Petersburg PhotographerPosted in Business, Photography |
Wow! We have gotten so many inquiries for our Project 25 promo. (Not gonna lie-kinda blown away.) Thank you so much everyone! We are so excited to start scheduling your sessions ASAP. We know you all have been excited and eager to sign up but one thing we want to remind you of is that in order to reserve your slot in Project 25 you will need to check out via the PayPal shopping cart on this website. (If you have spoken to us about an alternative method of payment, this is fine. We just need to actually receive payment in order to save your slot for you.) That being said, there are a limited number of spaces left. If you have not paid to reserve your slot, please do so soon. (Yes, it has been less than one week since we launched this promo and we’re almost booked! Alriiiiight!) On another note: If you would like to reserve a session with us but aren’t super keen about the humid weather we’re still having, you are free to wait and schedule your session for the month of October.
Thanks again to everyone who has inquired and reserved their slot in Project 25. You are putting big, happy smiles on our faces!

Before & After | Old North East St. Petersburg PhotographerPosted in Before & After, Personal, Photography, Portraits |
Carissa was sure that none of the photos from last night’s photo shoot would turn out. (It was her first time using the MKII and I myself am not used to (and forget to make use of) just how amazing it performs when you jack the iso up.) Well, here’s a before picture. I’m not gonna lie, it IS pretty abysmal. But we’re not going to worry about that. Nope. Instead, we’re going to focus on just how much this B&A is a testament for why we like post-processing work. If your photo didn’t turn out how you wanted, well that’s a bummer BUT, all is not lost. Soooo here’s the before…..

….and the after. Now does that after photo look like it was taken at 7:30pm on a dreary, rainy evening? Not to me it doesn’t. Thanks to Lightroom and a few actions in Ps, I was able get to it looking like this. The actions I used were Straight Edge, Warm it up, Kris at 100%, Flare-Up Golden at 20%, another Warm it up at 20% and Grainstorm at 75%. Then I sharpened it for the web. Thazzz it. I think the after is a tad too grainy but I like it. What do you think?

Old North East | Band Shoot St. Petersburg PhotographerPosted in Personal, Photography, Portraits |
Last night we had a photo shoot with the Old North East band. The band consists of Tony, Jackson, Cameron, Renee and myself (Brie.) With that cru…Oh my. To say we goofed off might be an understatement but Carissa was a dear to put up with our shenanigans, and she might have even joined in. *giggle* It was fairly ugly outside and, as Carissa and I kept chanting, we were “losing precious light, people!!” But I think the pics turned out so good considering we had NO plan. We do have plans to schedule a “proper” session at some undetermined future date, but really, you can’t beat a fun, rainy, crazy, un-planned Sunday evening with 6 bee-effs and a hawt camera.

Tony D. gettin’ holes at Foolish Pride Tatoo Co. in downtown St. Pete. UPDATE: It must be declared that said holes will be stretched and not filled with teeny tiny sparkly studs. (happy, Tony?)
