Wow! We have gotten so many inquiries for our Project 25 promo. (Not gonna lie-kinda blown away.) Thank you so much everyone! We are so excited to start scheduling your sessions ASAP. We know you all have been excited and eager to sign up but one thing we want to remind you of is that in order to reserve your slot in Project 25 you will need to check out via the PayPal shopping cart on this website. (If you have spoken to us about an alternative method of payment, this is fine. We just need to actually receive payment in order to save your slot for you.) That being said, there are a limited number of spaces left. If you have not paid to reserve your slot, please do so soon. (Yes, it has been less than one week since we launched this promo and we’re almost booked! Alriiiiight!) On another note: If you would like to reserve a session with us but aren’t super keen about the humid weather we’re still having, you are free to wait and schedule your session for the month of October.

“….You can never publish an excuse.” So says the likes of renowned photojournalist and wedding photographer Bob Davis as he talks about his take on what is authentic photojournalism.

“Photojournalism in the wedding industry has become a cliche word in a style. They’re [potential brides] equating photojournalism with a little bit of a tilt, black and white, and candids. Well, it’s not candids. The essence of photojournalism: It’s telling little stories with the pictures. Each little picture should reveal something about the subject, something about the day that is story telling. It has a bit of a narrative, it could be an intimate moment. But it’s not telling them what to do, it’s putting them in a situation where real moments can arise and you let them be themselves and then you recognize that moment and capture it.”

I think it would be fun to start posting a weekly ‘Before & After’ photo. I will have to come back later and edit this post with the specific recipe, but I used Pioneer Woman and TRA actions. The SOOC image is pretty dullsville (except for the beautiful face of Carissa), but I love how it looks after running a few actions on it. I know the shot itself is just so-so but I just really like the overall color and feel of it. Also, take note that I am testing out a watermark idea.
